1. Cancellation Freedom
No Long-Term Commitment: You can cancel your SnapshotAPI subscription at any time. There are no cancellation fees, penalties, or early termination charges.
We believe in earning your business every month. If our service doesn't meet your needs, you're free to cancel without any hassle.
2. How to Cancel Your Subscription
2.1 Self-Service Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription instantly through your account dashboard:
- Log in to your SnapshotAPI account at https://snapshotapi.in/dashboard.html
- Navigate to the "Billing" or "Subscription" section
- Click on "Manage Subscription" or "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation
- You will receive an email confirmation of your cancellation
2.2 Email Cancellation
Alternatively, you can cancel by emailing us:
- Send an email to support@snapshotapi.in
- Subject: "Cancel Subscription"
- Include your account email address
- We will process your request within 24 hours on business days
3. When Does Cancellation Take Effect?
3.1 Immediate vs. End of Billing Cycle
When you cancel your subscription:
- Service Access: You retain full access until the end of your current billing period
- No Partial Refunds: No refund for the remaining days of your current billing cycle (unless within 14-day money-back guarantee period)
- No Future Charges: Your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged for the next billing period
- Auto-Renewal Stops: Automatic renewal is immediately disabled upon cancellation
Example: If you cancel on January 15th and your billing cycle renews on January 25th, you will have access until January 25th and will not be charged for February.
3.2 What Happens After Cancellation
After your subscription expires:
- Your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan
- You retain access to Free plan features (10 screenshots/month)
- Your API keys remain active but with Free plan limits
- Your account data and settings are preserved
- Past invoices and usage history remain accessible
4. Cancellation During Trial Period
If you are on a free trial:
- You can cancel anytime during the trial without any charges
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged
- If you don't cancel before trial expiration, you will be automatically charged for the selected plan
- Trial cancellations take effect immediately
5. Data Retention After Cancellation
5.1 What We Keep
After cancellation, we retain:
- Account Information: Your profile, email, and login credentials
- Billing History: Invoices and payment records (required for tax/accounting)
- Usage Data: API usage logs and statistics
- Settings: Your preferences and configurations
5.2 What We Delete
Screenshots and generated files may be deleted based on data retention policy:
- Free Plan: Screenshots deleted after 7 days
- Paid Plans: Screenshots retained based on your plan's data retention period
- After Cancellation: Screenshots follow Free plan retention (7 days)
5.3 Account Deletion
If you want to completely delete your account:
- Contact support@snapshotapi.in with subject "Delete Account"
- We will permanently delete your account and associated data
- Billing records may be retained for legal/tax compliance (typically 7 years)
- Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
6. Reactivating Your Subscription
Changed your mind? You can reactivate your subscription anytime:
- Log in to your account
- Visit the Billing or Subscription page
- Select your desired plan and subscribe
- Your previous settings and API keys will be reactivated
- No penalty or additional fees for reactivation
Seamless Reactivation: Your account settings, API keys, and preferences are preserved, making reactivation quick and easy.
7. Downgrading Instead of Cancelling
Consider downgrading to a lower-tier plan instead of cancelling:
- Keep Your Account Active: Maintain access to paid features at a lower cost
- Flexible Plans: Choose from Starter, Professional, or Business plans
- No Switching Fees: Downgrade or upgrade anytime without penalties
- Downgrade Takes Effect: At the end of your current billing cycle
To downgrade, visit your account's Billing section and select a different plan.
8. Cancellation for Non-Payment
If a subscription payment fails:
- We will attempt to charge your payment method up to 3 times over 7 days
- You will receive email notifications about failed payments
- After 3 failed attempts, your subscription will be automatically cancelled
- Your account will downgrade to the Free plan
- You can update payment method and reactivate anytime
9. Service Termination by SnapshotAPI
We reserve the right to cancel or suspend your subscription if:
- You violate our Terms of Service
- Your account is used for fraudulent or illegal activities
- You engage in abusive behavior towards our staff or systems
- Your usage significantly impacts our infrastructure or other users
- Chargeback disputes are filed without prior contact
In such cases:
- We will notify you via email before termination (when possible)
- You will have an opportunity to address the issue
- Refunds may not be provided for Terms of Service violations
- Account data may be deleted immediately for severe violations
10. Refunds After Cancellation
Regarding refunds when you cancel:
- Within 14 Days: Full refund available if within 14-day money-back guarantee period
- After 14 Days: No refund for remaining days in current billing cycle
- Annual Plans: May be eligible for pro-rated refund on case-by-case basis
- Overage Fees: Non-refundable as they represent actual usage

11. Pausing Your Subscription
Need a temporary break? Contact us about pausing your subscription:
- Available for certain plans and situations
- Pause duration: typically 1-3 months
- No charges during pause period
- Account and data preserved

12. Export Your Data Before Cancelling
Before cancelling, we recommend:
- Download Invoices: Export all invoices from your account
- Export Usage Data: Download usage reports and analytics
- Save API Keys: Record your API keys if you plan to return
- Backup Screenshots: Download any important screenshots
- Export Settings: Save your API configurations and preferences
Important: Screenshots may be deleted after your subscription ends based on retention policies. Download important files before cancellation.
